CQC Care Home: Hilgay Care Home is thrilled to announce that we have been awarded a well-deserved “Good” rating following a recent rigorous inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). This significant achievement marks an important milestone for Hilgay Care Home, and we are absolutely delighted with the outcome.

What Does a ‘Good’ CQC Rating Mean?
A “Good” rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) signifies that the care service is performing well and meeting the CQC Care Home regulatory expectations. For a care home, a “Good” rating indicates that the service is delivering quality care, adhering to national standards, and excelling in areas such as person-centred care, dignity, respect, and responsiveness to people’s needs.
To achieve a “Good” CQC Care Home rating, a service must demonstrate that it provides care tailored to the individual’s needs and preferences while treating them with compassion, kindness, dignity, and respect.
The CQC uses a set of key questions in their assessments to determine the overall rating of the service. These questions evaluate whether the service is safe, effective, caring, responsive, and well-led. We are overjoyed to have achieved “Good” in all five of these areas, which is a great testament to the dedication and hard work of the Hilgay Care Home team.
